Self-test Method for Industrial Computer Failure to Start

Industrial computers are mainly used in various industrial sites related to production and manufacturing, such as continuous production, batch manufacturing and batch processing. They are characterized by reliability and stability, and the likelihood of product problems is low. However, facing different industrial sites, the INDUSTRIAL computer may be in very complex environment, such as dust, high-frequency vibration, ultra-low temperature and so on, which may damage the industrial computer. In addition, human factors will also make industrial computer can not be used normally.

Industrial computer can not start how should self-check? Symtrue below to explain to you a specific method, I hope to help you.

I. When the industrial computer starts, there is no reaction, the indicator light of the industrial main board is not bright, and the power fan does not rotate

  • First of all, check whether the industrial computer power supply is normal.
  • If the AC input is normal, we should consider whether the power supply of the industrial computer is faulty. At this point, the ATX power interface and the large 4P interface powered by the CPU should be removed and the green and black wires of the ATX power interface should be shorted using tweezers or wires. See if the power supply can work properly. If the power fan works properly, the power supply is normal. At this point, should consider the case of the industrial motherboard. It was necessary to remove all but the most basic USB devices from the industrial motherboard to see if the industrial computer would work.
  • If the industrial computer still can not work normally, should be removed industrial motherboard, check whether there is a short circuit or burned out.

II. After the industrial computer is turned on, the fan runs normally but cannot be started normally

  • When the industrial computer is turned on, there will be a basic I/O system alarm. This situation is the most common. The specific situation can refer to the meaning of the basic input and output system alarm sound of various models to deal with.
  • When the IPC is turned on, there is no alarm sound, the CPU fan rotates for a while, then stops, and so on. Consider CPU power problems or CPU looseness.
  • When the industrial computer is started, the display screen always stays at the initial basic I/O system initialization startup interface, and the next step cannot be carried out. Now, take a look at the periphery. The insertion of usb and other usb devices is primarily a matter of the basic I/O system. When the associated USB device is removed and restarted, the industrial computer can run normally. It is recommended to update the basic I/O system to fix this failure.
  • If there is no alarm sound after the industrial computer is turned on, and the CPU fan runs normally, but cannot be initialized normally, the minimum system method should be used to analyze whether there are accessories on the industrial motherboard resulting in short circuit or motherboard burning out.
